SERVICE CREDIT OPTIONS (Minimum Credits Required listed above)

Concert Support Staff/Stage Crew

• 1 credit per Support Staff/Stage Crew assignment (1 credit for the entire evening/performance in total)

COMMUNITY SERVICE

• 1 credit for every hour of documented service

• Unlimited credits available (can be non-music related)

EVENT PLANNING

• 1 credit for leading the event planning for a chapter service project

• 1 credit for assistance in setting up at chapter service projects

• 1 credit for assisting in breaking down a chapter service project

Achieving 30 credits in one school year will earn the “Outstanding Service” Award from Tri-M

 PERFORMANCE CREDIT OPTIONS (Minimum Credits Required listed above)

TRI-M MEETING PERFORMANCE

• 1 credit optional for all active members, with one month advance notice

• Performance must be approved by the Tri-M Advisor

SOLO OR CHAMBER PERFORMANCE

• 1 credit per performance

  • Must be a performance that goes above and beyond what is required for your chosen Music Elective (solo, duet, small ensemble performance, NOT standard concert repertoire) performed for your ensemble during class

OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL OR EXTRACURRICULAR PERFORMANCE

• 1 credit per performing ensemble

• Examples include: All-County, All-State CYSO, rock band concert, gig, busking performance, caroling, etc.

  • Evidence of participation must be provided by submitting a program, photograph, or other proof that the performance took place with the mentioned ensemble, and that the member was a participant

ATTENDANCE AT PROFESSIONAL CONCERT/THEATER PRODUCTION

• 1 credit for a performance, once per year

• You may not claim credit for a performance you are a part of

• Cover of program must be submitted with form as evidence

  • Members must be prepared to defend to the Chapter Advisor why their attendance at the specified event was beneficial to their musical development.

Achieving 15 credits or more in one school year will earn the “Master Musician” Award from Tri-M!
